In 1976, world-renowned American artist Ed Ruscha is believed to have created a mysterious artwork: a fake boulder, which he hid in the California desert and has kept secret ever since. Nearly 40 years later, with the help of a private detective, three famous screenwriters, Hollywood actors, well-known figures from the art world, and a series of potential witnesses, Oscar-winning director Pierre Bismuth sets out to discover what lies behind its secret and embarks on a thrilling investigation between reality and fiction. The screening is part of the Unschool of Curating, organised by Cluj Cultural Centre and Art Encounters Foundation. The screening is organised in collaboration with Cinema Arta.
