FAQ

Can I use a ticket for another screening?

Tickets may only be used for the screening to which they are allocated.

Can I get my money back if I can’t make it to the screening?

No, unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available at the Cinema ARTA box office and on www.cinema-arta.ro

When does the ticket office open?

The ticket office opens 30 minutes before the first screening of the day.

Can I choose the seats?

Tickets are not for specific seats. You may take any of the available seats when you enter the cinema.

Is it allowed to eat and drink in the cinema?

Food is not permitted, but we invite you to get any drink from ARTA Cafe.

Why aren’t you screening a specific film?

The films shown at ARTA are carefully selected and curated, and not every film fits our specific criteria. There are also situations where a film is very difficult to obtain or very expensive. The distribution system is complex and, unfortunately, we cannot screen everything we would like to.

Why aren’t the subtitles always in Romanian?

We also aim to reach an audience that does not speak Romanian, by regularly holding English-friendly screenings.

We also frequently organise special screenings of films that do not have local distributors. Consequently, these do not have Romanian subtitles, and organising them requires resources that we do not always have.

We value and strive to promote linguistic diversity.
